About PHS Program

The Partner High School Program is designed with local high schools in mind. It is a way for schools and students to have access to quality education programs from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Through a blended learning model, university courses are taught at local high schools for certificate or credit. These credits can be used towards admissions to the University of Illinois or can be transferred around the world.

The University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign

Background

The University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign is one of the original 37 public land-grant institutions created after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Morrill Act in 1862.

The courses offered through the Partner High School Program are considered the same as the courses offered on campus at the university. Students receive the same university credit and transcripts for completing the courses.

Furthermore, the courses offered through the Partner High School Program meet the General Educatoin requirements at the University of Illinois and many universities in the United States, making them highly transferrable.
